Paneer Peas Corn Rolls:
- This recipe is very easy to prepare as I am using frozen peas and corn. For homemade paneer click here.
- Nowadays ready-made rotis are available. For soft homemade roti click here. For 1 cup of flour, we can make 7 rotis. Instead, make 5 bigger rotis with the same quantity of flour to roll it easily.
- 6-7 Roti/Phulkha
- 1 cup Paneer
- 1/2 cup Peas
- 1/2 cup Corn
- 1 Onion
- 1 Tomato
- 1 tsp Ginger Garlic Paste
- 1 tsp Chilli powder
- 2 tsp Coriander powder
- 1/2 tsp Garam Masala
- 1/4 tsp Turmeric powder
- 1 tsp Cumin seeds/Jeera
- 1 tbsp Coriander leaves finely chopped
- salt to taste
- 3 tbsp oil
- Keep all the ingredients ready. Soak corn and peas in hot water for 5 minutes and drain it and keep aside. Heat a non-stick Kadai to medium heat and add oil. Once the oil is hot, add cumin and let it crackle.
- Now add onion and saute till it becomes translucent. Add ginger garlic paste and saute till raw smell goes.
- Then add tomato and saute till it becomes mushy. Now add turmeric powder, chilli powder, coriander powder, garam masala and mix it thoroughly.
- Once done add paneer, corn, peas and saute for 2-3 minutes.
- Now add half a cup of water, salt to taste and close the lid and cook till all the water is absorbed and peas and corn are cooked thoroughly. As we are to roll it should be in dry consistency. Garnish with coriander leaves.
- If using frozen paneer, defrost in a microwave before using it or soak it in hot water for 5 minutes and remove all the excess water.
- Instead of directly rolling the mixture in roti/pulkha, you can apply green chutney or tomato sauce according to your kid's taste.
- Make little bigger size roti in order to roll it properly.
- If you make this mixture semi-gravy consistency you can have it as a side dish. If you want to roll the mixture make it into dry consistency.
