Bread Paneer Rolls is an Indian Snack, which is very easy to prepare. These rolls best serve as an appetizer or a tea time snack. Generally, spiced crumbled paneer is stuffed inside the bread and deep fried. Instead, this time I have crumbled bread along with paneer and made Rolls out of it.
It is always advisable to use fresh Home Made Paneer. If you don’t have homemade paneer then you can even use the store bought ones or frozen ones. If using frozen paneer either microwave it for a minute or place it in hot water for few minutes. Use paneer after squeezing the extra water from it. Again it is up to you to include any other ingredients in the recipe. You can add either corn or peas which go well with paneer. If you like spicier, then add one chopped green chili. But whatever you add after the rolling, place it in the refrigerator for at least one hour. So that while deep frying the rolls will not crumble. Now let us see how to prepare this tasty appetizer.

- 4 Bread slices
- 200 gms Paneer/Indian Cheese
- 1 Onion
- 1/2 Green Capsicum
- 1 tsp Chili powder
- 1 tsp Coriander powder
- 1/2 tsp Garam Masala Powder
- 1 tbsp Corn Flour
- 1 tbsp All purpose flour/Maida
- 1 cup Bread crumbs
- salt to taste
- oil to deep fry
- Keep all the ingredients ready. Cut the sides of bread and crumble it using a mixer. Shred the paneer evenly using a mixer. Finely chop onion, capsicum and saute them in a tsp of oil and set aside. Take a wide bowl, add shredded paneer, crumbled bread, sauteed onion and capsicum.
- Then add corn flour, all-purpose flour, chili powder, coriander powder, garam masala powder and salt to taste. Mix all the ingredients thoroughly and roll it length wise.
- Then coat it with bread crumbs and refrigerate for one hour.
- Heat a Kadai, add oil. Once oil gets heated add bread paneer rolls one by one and fry till golden brown. Place it on a kitchen towel to remove excess oil. You can either deep fry or shallow fry. Repeat with remaining rolls. Bread paneer rolls are ready. Serve with tomato sauce.
- To make rolls don't add any water. Water in paneer itself is sufficient.
- I have shown basic roll. You can add corn or peas according to your taste if you like crunchiness in between.
- If you like spicier, then add one chopped green chili.
- You can even add a tbsp of chopped coriander leaves.
- Rolls should be refrigerated at least for half an hour to get set. If refrigerated, while frying it will not crumble.
