Homemade Dark Chocolate that will just melt in your mouth! It has no artificial flavors and is good for health as we will be using pure virgin coconut oil. This chocolate can be prepared very easily using just 3 ingredients. The main ingredient used are coconut oil, cocoa powder, and honey.
Who doesn’t like chocolates? Moreover, coconut oil is very good for health. In fact, it is suggested to take a tbsp of coconut oil regularly in our daily diet. It is difficult to eat plain coconut oil, but if we make it as chocolates, who would say no. My daughter and hubby like chocolates very much so I prepared this for them. In this recipe, I’m not using any artificial sweetener or sugar. Instead, I’m using honey. As I am using healthy ingredients like coconut oil and honey you can indulge and relish it without guilt. Let us now see how to prepare this chocolate.

- 2/3 cup Cocoa Powder unsweetened
- 2/3 cup Coconut Oil Pure virgin oil
- 1/3 cup+1 tbsp Honey
- 1/2 tsp Vanilla extract
- 1 pinch salt
- 3 tbsp Nuts finely chopped (optional)
- Keep all the ingredients ready. Microwave coconut oil for a minute on high. Once it melts add cocoa powder and mix it thoroughly without any lumps.
- Then add remaining ingredients honey, vanilla extract, salt and mix it thoroughly until honey is mixed properly.
- Stir and pour the mixture over a parchment paper lined cookie tray or pour it in muffin tray as shown, sprinkle nuts on each chocolate and refrigerate it for 30 to 40 minutes. Once the chocolate hardens, store it in an airtight container in the refrigerator.
- Instead of honey, you can make use of refined sugar or brown sugar.
- If using honey, mix it thoroughly until no honey drops are seen. If not mixed properly, while setting in refrigerator honey will settle down.
- Use organic extra virgin coconut oil only.
- Once the chocolate hardens, store it in an airtight container in the refrigerator. If kept out it will melt easily at room temperature.
