Let us make Chocolate Chip Butter Cookie which is buttery in taste and that melts with each bite. This is not a chewy type cookie. Who doesn’t like chocolate chips? I have already posted basic Butter Cookie. This Chocolate Chip Butter Cookie consists of only 4 ingredients – All-purpose flour, sugar, butter and chocolate chip.
A chocolate chip cookie is a drop cookie that originated in the United States and features chocolate chips (small morsels of sweetened chocolate) as its distinguishing ingredient. The traditional recipe combines a dough composed of butter and both brown and white sugar, semi-sweet chocolate chips and vanilla. Variations include recipes with other types of chocolate as well as additional ingredients such as nuts or oatmeal.
Last time I prepared basic plain Butter cookie and this time my daughter wanted chocolate chips in the cookies. So I made this. It was really fresh and came out crispy out and soft inside. This can be prepared very easily with available ingredients in the pantry that too in 25 minutes. Now let us see how to prepare this Chocolate Chip Butter Cookie.
- 1 Cup All purpose flour/Maida
- 1/4 Cup Powdered Sugar
- 1 Stick Unsalted Butter softened (100 gms approx)
- 1/2 Cup Semi-sweet Chocolate Chip
- Keep the ingredients ready. Preheat oven to 180 degrees C. Align a baking sheet lined with parchment paper or aluminum foil. In a large bowl, add butter and sugar. Mix it thoroughly until fluffy using a hand mixer.
- Then add flour and continue to mix until mixture turns crumbly. At this stage add 3/4th of a chocolate chip and mix it with hand to form a dough. The consistency of the dough will be like roti dough.
- Make 12 to 15 small equal balls out of dough, pat it and place on prepared baking sheet. Repeat for remaining dough. Now place the remaining chocolate chip in desired design on the top of the dough. Bake for 12-15 minutes, or until cookies are pale golden brown on sides. Once done remove it and let it cool. Chocolate Chip Butter cookie is ready.
- Use only the specified amount of ingredients to get the perfect butter cookie.
- Store baked cookies in an airtight container for a week.
- Serve with tea/coffee/milk.
