Watermelon Juice is a refreshing drink which can be prepared with 4 simple ingredients. The best way to beat the heat with this natural refreshing drink. I haven’t posted any summer drinks till now. So posting this delicious drink which has no added artificial sweetener.
This watermelon juice is so simple to prepare. The ingredients used are watermelon, mint leaves, ginger and lemon juice. Just blend everything in a blender and your drink is ready. You can either serve it cold or can serve as such, as it is natural summer coolant.
Watermelon is a nutrient dense food, a food that provides a high amount of vitamins, minerals, and antioxidants. Mint is a calming and soothing herb that has been used for thousands of years to aid with upset stomach or indigestion. Ginger contains Gingerol, a substance with powerful medicinal properties. Ginger can treat many forms of Nausea, especially Morning Sickness. Lemon is an excellent and rich source of vitamin C, an essential nutrient that protects the body against immune system deficiencies.
When we consume all these in a single shot, think how much health benefits we will be getting. This drink keeps you refreshing entire day and also helps boost your immune system. Now let us see how to prepare this wonder juice.
- 1/2 kg Watermelon
- 1/2 inch Ginger
- 6-7 Mint/Pudina Leaves
- 1 tbsp Lemon juice
- 2-3 tbsp Sugar or honey (optional)
- Remove seeds from watermelon and chop it into cubes. In a blender add mint leaves, ginger and blend it coarsely.
- Now add watermelon, (sugar if required) and blend it thoroughly. Add lemon juice and mix well. Keep it in the refrigerator for an hour and serve or add ice cubes and serve immediately.
- Do not add any water.
- Add only 6 to 7 mint leaves or it will give a bitter taste.
- My watermelon was very sweet, so did not add any sugar or honey.
- If adding sugar or honey adjust according to your taste.
- You can serve it cold or can have it as such.
