Recently we have become a very big fan of Avocado after having this Avocado Smoothie. It tastes awesome with its creamy and smooth texture. Avocado has so many health benefits in it. It is rich in mono-saturated fats. It is also known as an alligator pear or butter fruit.
Avocado Smoothie is very easy to prepare with 4 ingredients – avocado, vanilla ice cream, sugar or honey and milk. Blend everything and you get a creamy smoothie. I used homemade Vanilla Ice Cream. You can use store bought one too. Even if you don’t have ice cream handy, you can use one ripe banana instead. This is a very filling recipe and even kids would like to have.
How to use avocados? Ripe avocados that yield to gentle pressure should be eaten within a day or two. Unripe, firm or green fruit can take four to five days to ripen at room temperature. When an avocado begins to yield to gentle pressure, place it in the refrigerator to slow the ripening process. Now let us see how to prepare this smoothie.
- 1 Avocado ripe
- 1 Cup Vanilla Ice Cream
- 1.5 Cups Milk
- 2 tbsp Sugar or honey
- Take an avocado and cut it into a round shape and split it into two.
- Remove seed with a knife. Now scoop avocado using a spoon. The pulp comes out easily with the help of a spoon.
- Chop the pulp and transfer to a blender. Add milk to it.
- Now add sugar or honey. Then add vanilla ice cream. Now blend everything to a smooth paste. An avocado smoothie is ready.
