Mango Rava Kesari is one of the simple and quick recipes to prepare. This is similar to that of normal Rava Kesari with Mango flavor. This can be prepared within 15 mins. When you have any unexpected guest at home, you can prepare this in no time and surprise them.
As mango season is on, I am preparing so many recipes using mango. I have already posted many recipes using mango like Mango Kulfi, Mango Yogurt Popsicle, Instant Mango Pickle. There were ripe mangoes in my refrigerator and wanted to prepare something. I haven’t posted any sweets for a quite long time so prepared this Mango Rava Kesari. As everyone at home liked it and thought of sharing this with you too.

Specified amount of sugar was enough for me if you have sweet tooth add more. I used Alphonso mango, you can use any mango of your choice. But use nice ripe mango. Even if you are using roasted rava, roast it again in a tbsp of ghee to get a nice flavor. I also used Homemade Ghee. Homemade Ghee certainly gives a nice flavor to the dessert. Now let us see how to prepare this Mango Rava Kesari.
- 1/2 cup Rava/Sooji/Samolina
- 1/2 cup Mango Puree
- 1 cup Sugar
- 1.5 cup Water
- 1/4 cup Ghee
- 1 tsp Cardamom/Elachi powder
- Cut mangoes, peel the skin, using a mixer grind mango to smooth paste. Heat a pan, add a tbsp of ghee and roast cashews. Remove it on a plate and set aside. Roast rava with a tbsp of ghee till you get a nice aroma. Transfer to a plate. Now in the same pan add mango puree and saute for a minute.
- Now add water, mix thoroughly and bring it to boil. Now add roasted rava little by little and cook without any lumps. Add 2 tbsp of ghee and mix well.
- Now add sugar. After adding sugar mix becomes watery. Cook on medium flame till it becomes thick. Then add remaining ghee, cardamom powder and mix well. When the mix leaves the pan Kesari is ready. Garnish with cashews. Mango flavored Kesari is ready to relish.
