- 2 tsp Corn Flour
- salt to taste
- 1 Cup oil to deep fry
- 1 tsp Ginger Garlic Paste
- 1 Capsicum
- 1 Onion
- 1 tbsp Soya Sauce
- 1 tsp Tomato ketchup
- 1 tbsp Red Chili Sauce
- 1/2 tsp Pepper powder
- 1/2 tsp Chili Flakes
- salt to taste
- 1/2 tsp Sugar
- 1 tbsp Corn Flour
- 1 tbsp Spring Onion Greens
- Thoroughly wash chicken using turmeric powder, salt, and water. Cut chicken to small cube size. In a wide bowl add all the ingredients under "For marinade" except oil. Mix it thoroughly and set aside.
- Heat a kadai, add a cup of oil and deep fry the marinated chicken. Place chicken one by one without touching with each other. So that while frying it will not stick to each other. Cook until all sides turn golden brown. Remove and place it on a kitchen towel and set aside.
- Remove the excess oil from the kadai and leave 2 tbsp of oil. Add ginger garlic paste and saute for a minute. Then add diced onion and capsicum and saute for another minute. Now add soya sauce, tomato ketchup, red chili sauce, pepper powder, chili flakes, a little salt and saute well.
- Add fried chicken and mix well. In a bowl mix cornflour with a 1/4 cup of water and add in the chicken. Adjust salt if needed.
- Cook until the gravy thickens or reaches the required consistency. Garnish with green spring onions. Chicken Manchurian gravy is ready.
- You can adjust spices according to your taste and need.
- Use either breast chicken or thigh chicken which is boneless.
- You can even add a finely chopped green chili if you want it spicier.
- If you want Manchurian to be dry, don't add cornflour slurry.
