Chicken Popcorn is a bite-size piece marinated in spices and coated with spiced flour which is then deep fried in oil to the perfect crispiness. This bite-sized popcorn chicken is loved by all, especially by kids and this KFC style chicken popcorn can be prepared very easily at home.
This Chicken Popcorn is very crisp on the outside and very soft and juicy inside. I fried the chicken once only as we ate it at the same time. If you want your chicken popcorn to stay crispy for a long time, you should double fry the chicken. When it turns golden brown remove it on a kitchen towel and wait for a min. Then again drop the cooked chicken in the oil and fry for another 2-3 mins on low flame. Now remove it on the kitchen towel and this stays crisp for a very long time. Now let us see how to prepare this recipe.

- 2 Chicken Breast Fillets
- 1 tsp White pepper powder
- 1 tsp Chili powder
- 1 tbsp Ginger Garlic Paste
- 1 tbsp Corn Flour
- 1 Egg large
- salt to taste
- 1 cup oil to deep fry
- 1 cup All purpose flour/Maida
- 1 tbsp Chili powder
- 1 tsp Garlic Powder
- salt to taste
- Wash chicken breast thoroughly and cut into small cubes. Pat dry and transfer chicken to a bowl. Add all the ingredients under "main ingredients" except oil. Mix thoroughly and keep it aside.
- In another wide bowl add all the ingredients specified under "for coating". Mix it thoroughly and set aside.
- Now take a piece of the chicken cube and coat it in the flour mixture. Dust the excess flour and place it on a plate. Repeat this for all the chicken pieces.
- Now heat a Kadai and add oil. Once oil gets heated add chicken pieces one by one, and do not overcrowd. Fry until all sides turn golden brown in color. Once done remove it on a kitchen towel. Serve hot with any sauce of your choice.
- Cut chicken into cube size. Do not cut it either large or too small.
- You can even add a tsp of soya sauce while marinating the chicken.
- While coating the chicken with flour, dust the excess flour, or else it will settle in the oil and turns black in color.
- Fry the chicken in medium low flame only.
- I have used white pepper powder for marinating, you can even use black pepper powder.
Crispy KFC style Chicken Popcorn is ready to relish.
