Pesarattu is a traditional Andhra Recipe. This is termed as Pesara Attu which means moong dosa. Dosa made with the whole moong dal and rice is known as pesarattu. To make it healthier I have added quinoa and chana along with the whole moong dal.
We usually make pesarattu with whole moong dal and rice. As I was inspired by Priya Suresh Quinoa & Chana pesarattu, made this time pesarattu using quinoa and chana. You can check out her recipe here. This is pesarattu can be had as a breakfast or snack. This pesarattu is very filling that you can have at most 2 to 3 dosa’s only. This is usually served with Allam pachadi (Ginger Chutney) or any spicy chutney. With this same batter, you can prepare dosa, paniyaram by adding some veggies of your choice or pakoda by adding some onion. The choice is endless. This pesarattu is very healthy and nutritious and tastes awesome. Now let us see how to prepare this recipe.
