Milk Powder Burfi a simple and easy yet delicious burfi which can be even prepared by the beginners. This milk powder burfi is made with 4 simple ingredients which are easily available in our pantry. The ingredients used are milk powder, sugar, ghee, and milk.
I always try to give the simple, easy, delicious and healthy recipe as much as possible. In this recipe too I have added palm sugar instead of white sugar. You too can replace it with any sugar of your choices. While measuring sugar, measure the granulated sugar for the given quantity and then powder it and use in the recipe (Do not powder the sugar and then measure, then the taste may differ). This way it melts very easily and takes only less time to combine with other ingredients. Always use homemade ghee to make any sweets. This burfi gets ready within 15 mins. Now let us see how to prepare this recipe.

- 1 cup Milk powder full fat
- 1/3 cup Sugar
- 1/4 cup Ghee
- 1/4 cup Milk full fat
- 1/2 tsp Cardamom/Elaichi Powder
- 2 tbsp Mixed dry fruits finely chopped cashews and pistachios
- In a pan add ghee, milk, milk powder and saute for a min on low flame until all combined well without any lumps.
- I measured 1/3 cup sugar and then powdered it. Now add powdered sugar to the mix. As we added sugar the mix starts to become watery. Continuously stir for 7 to 8 mins until the mix thickens. Then add cardamom powder and mix well. Take a small pinch of mix and place it on a greased plate. If you are able to make a ball out of the mix the consistency is right. Switch off the flame.
- Place a tray with butter sheet applied with ghee. Now pour the mixture in the greased plate and spread it to the desired thickness. Garnish with dry fruits. Let the mixture cool for a while. While still warm slice the burfi. Let it cool completely and then serve. Milk powder burfi is ready.
- Use full-fat milk and milk powder.
- Always use homemade ghee to make any sweets.
- I have used palm sugar, you can use any sugar of your choice.
- Do not leave it unattended as it gets burnt easily.
- you can store it in the refrigerator for a week but serve it at room temperature.
