Delicious Badam Milk with Homemade Badam Mix is rich and creamy milk loaded with healthy nuts and natural ingredients. I have used organic turmeric powder and palm sugar instead of artificial color and sweetener. I have included nuts such as badam, cashews, walnut, and pistachios.
Store bought badam mix contains lots of preservatives and white sugar which is not good for health. We can make this at home hygienically as well as healthy without adding any preservatives. Make it in bulk and store it in an airtight container for a month. Even you can refrigerate it for several months.
If you are using skinned almond, soak it in hot water for 5 mins. Then peel the skin. Then dry it on a kitchen towel for 2-3 hours until all water is evaporated. Nowadays skinless almond is also available in the market. Adding pistachios, walnut is optional, but it certainly gives a nice flavor to the drink. After roasting the nuts let it cool completely and then grind it to a fine powder. Also, use the whipper mode to grind the nuts or else oil may start to leave. You can have badam milk either hot or cold according to your need. Now let see how to prepare this recipe.

- 1 cup Almond/Badam
- 10 Cashews/Mundiri
- 1 tbsp Pistachios/Pista
- 4 Walnut
- 1 cup Powdered Palm Sugar
- 1 tbsp Turmeric powder organic
- 1 tbsp Cardamom/Elaichi Powder
- 1/4 tsp Saffron
- 2 cups Full Fat Milk
- 2 tsp Powdered Palm Sugar
- I have used skinless almond. If you are using skinned almond, soak it in hot water for 5 mins. Then peel the skin. Then dry it on a kitchen towel for 2-3 hours until all water is evaporated. Heat a pan and add almonds and roast it for 5 mins without changing its color. Transfer it to a plate and let it cool completely. In the same pan add cashews, walnuts, pistachios and roast it for 2 mins until a nice aroma comes. Again transfer this to a plate.
- Let the roasted nuts cool completely. Now transfer it to a mixer jar and make it to a fine powder. Use the whipper mode to grind the nuts or else oil may start to leave.
- Now add palm sugar, turmeric powder, saffron, cardamom powder to the powdered nut and run the mixer for few more seconds until all the ingredients are mixed well. Once done transfer it to a bowl and let it cool for a while. Then transfer this badam mix to an airtight container and you can store it for months.
- To prepare badam milk, take two cups of full-fat milk and bring it to boil. Add 2 tbsp of prepared badam mix along with 2 tsp of sugar. Boil milk thoroughly until the turmeric color is incorporated well. You can serve it hot or cool it completely and refrigerate it for 2-3 hours and serve chilled. While serving sprinkle some chopped nuts and saffron.
- The sugar I added was not enough so I had to add extra sugar while preparing the badam milk. Instead, you can add 2 cups of sugar while preparing the mix.
- Adding pistachios, walnut is optional, but it certainly gives a nice flavor to the drink.
- After roasting the nuts let it cool completely and then grind it to a fine powder.
- Also, use the whipper mode to grind the nuts or else oil may start to leave.
- You can have it either hot or cold according to your need.
