Beat the heat with this refreshing watermelon Sorbet with a hint of mint. This sorbet can be whipped up in just 5 mins that too without an ice maker. A healthy, natural and dairy free dessert to enjoy the hot summer.
This recipe used only the four ingredients watermelon, lemon juice, honey, and mint. Freeze watermelon cubes overnight and blend along with the favorite ingredients and you come up with a refreshing sorbet. You can use any fruits of your choice and combinations to make this sorbet. No need for any fancy gadgets. You can blend this in a food processor or in a blender.
The difference between the ice cream and the sorbet are ice cream is more of creamy in texture and that consists of dairy in it. Whereas sorbet is more of icy in texture and does not contain any dairy init. Now let us see how to prepare this recipe.

- 2 cups Watermelon
- 5-6 Mint Leaves/Pudina
- 1 tbsp Lemon juice
- 1 tbsp Honey
- Remove watermelon rind and use it in other recipes. Discard seeds and cut the watermelon into cubes and freeze it overnight.
- Place the frozen watermelon cubes into a food processor or a blender. Add mint leaves, lemon juice, honey and blend well. If required add a tbsp of water to make a smooth blend.
- You can either serve it immediately or freeze it for another 2 hrs and serve. Once you place it in the bowl immediately serve or else it may start to melt.
- You can add a tsp of ginger extract too. This gives a nice flavor to the sorbet.
- Instead of honey, you can even add sugar.
- The watermelon which I used was very sweet, so added only a tbsp of honey. Adjust sugar or honey according to your taste and watermelons sweetness.
