Broken Wheat Upma is a healthy and nutritious breakfast of South India which can be whipped up in 25 mins. This breakfast serves as a weight loss recipe as well as the diabetic-friendly recipe. Broken Wheat Upma is also termed as dalia upma, cracked wheat upma or godhumai rava upma.
Broken wheat take much time to cook than normal rava. So I made this using pressure cooker and it took only a few mins and turned out to be so yum. Water proportion for this I used 1:3. That is for 1 cup broken wheat 3 cups water. If you want this to be more graining in texture then use a 1:2.5 ratio. The vegetables I used are beans, carrot, and peas. You can use any vegetables of your choice. Now let us see how to prepare this recipe.
