I am very much obsessed with my new Mealthy Multipot and trying to convert all my regular pressure cooker recipe in this Mealthy Multipot electric pressure cooker. Each time the recipe turns out to be perfect without any fuss. Place all the ingredients in the pressure cooker, set the timer and your job is done. No need to count for the whistles. Once the time is out it goes to warm mode and you can enjoy the hot pav bhaji anytime without reheating it.
You can even prepare the dish in advance and set the delay timer at night and your bhaji is ready in the morning. You simply need to toast the buns and serve with the bhaji. It is such a breeze to use this electric pressure cooker. Now let us see how to prepare this recipe.

- 6 Pav Buns
- 2 big Potatoes
- 1 cup Cauliflower
- 1/4 cup Green Peas
- 1/2 cup Green Capsicum
- 2 Onion
- 2 Tomatoes
- 1/2 tsp Turmeric powder
- 1 tsp Kashmiri Red Chili Powder
- 1/2 tsp Garam Masala Powder
- 1 tbsp Pav Bhaji Masala
- 1 tbsp Ginger Garlic Paste
- 1/2 tsp Cumin seeds/Jeera
- 1 tbsp Coriander Leaves/Kothamalli finely chopped
- salt to taste
- 3 tbsp Butter
- 1 Onion finely chopped
- 1 Lemon cut to wedgets
- 1 tbsp Coriander Leaves/Kothamalli finely chopped
- Roughly chop potatoes and cauliflower. Finely chop onion, capsicum, and tomatoes.
- Turn on SAUTE mode. When the display shows HOT add butter. Once butter melts add cumin seeds and let it crackle.
- Now add onions and saute until onion turns translucent. Then add ginger garlic paste and saute until the raw smell goes.
- Add capsicum and saute for a min. Then add tomatoes and saute until tomatoes turn mushy.
- Add cauliflower, potato, peas and a little salt to veggies and saute for a minute.
- Then add turmeric powder, Kashmiri red chili powder, garam masala powder, pav bhaji masala powder and saute until raw smell goes. Now add enough water, adjust salt and mix well.
- Cancel SAUTE mode. Close the lid. Turn VENT to SEALING position. Select PRESSURE COOK mode on high for 10 mins. Once done, Quick Release the pressure.
- Again turn on SAUTE mode and simmer the gravy until the water is reduced.
- Mash the bhaji with the masher. Garnish with coriander leaves. Pav Bhaji is ready. While serving lightly toast pav with butter on tawa and serve hot along with chopped onions and lemon wedges.
- Use a generous amount of butter to get a nice flavor.
- Do not skip cauliflower and capsicum.
- You can even add chopped carrots along with the veggies.
- You can even add a piece of beetroot to get a nice bright red color.
- While serving lightly toast pav with butter on tawa and serve hot along with chopped onions and lemon wedges.
