Masala Akki Roti is famous from the region of Karnataka. This roti can be had as a breakfast, dinner, or as a snack. This turns out to be soft and crispy roti and the dill leaves give a nice flavor to this dish.
You can either use homemade rice flour or idiyappam flour. You can add any veggies of your choice and make it healthy. This roti is served hot along with sambar, coconut chutney or tomato chutney. A dash of butter or ghee with akki roti takes it to another level.
To make perfect roti, the dough should be very soft. The dough becomes dense if the water is less. It should be neither too soft nor too thick. It should be like a pliable dough. You can spread this dough with the help of your fingers only. You can not use the roller to roll the dough as we do it for regular wheat roti. Now let us see how to prepare this recipe.
