As the name suggests, bread halwa is prepared using bread slices. If you are craving sweets and if you have bread slices left, then you can prepare this recipe in just 10 mins.
The method of preparing bread halwa is similar to that of any other halwa prepared. You can either cook it with water or milk. I have added water instead of milk. If we add milk the color of halwa turns to light in color. Also, the halwa color depends on how long it is sauteed in ghee. This is one of the simple and easy halwa that can be prepared even by the novice.
I have used milk bread. Instead, you can even use brown bread. Also, I have used brown sugar. You can use any sweetener of your choice. You may require 1 to 1 1/2 cups of water, depending on the bread used. Instead of water, you can add milk too. Adding milk turns the halwa color dull but tastes awesome. Now let us see how to prepare this recipe.
