Air Fryer Tandoori Chicken is a delicious appetizer that is perfectly charred outside and juicy inside. Tandoori Chicken is traditionally grilled in a clay oven. Thanks to modern technology, where you don’t have to deep fry or shallow fry the chicken, instead make it oil-free and healthy using the air fryer.
From the picture above, you can see how perfectly it is air-fried as we get in the roadside shop. The chicken is marinated in a mixture of yogurt and spices. Kashmiri chili powder, turmeric powder, and lemon are used to enhance the color. I have not added any artificial color to the marinade. Yet it turned out awesome.
For better results, refrigerate the chicken for at least 1 hour or if possible keep it overnight. Increase or decrease the spices according to your taste. Each side air fry for 10 mins at 180 degrees C. At last, air fry for 5 to 10 mins at 200 degrees C to get nice char on the thigh. Time may vary depending on the size of the thigh piece. To get juicy fried chicken place the aluminum foil. It is optional only. You can air fry directly into the basket without placing the foil. Now let us see how to prepare this recipe.
