These are the steps I follow while making ginger tea. I always make tea on the small burner with low flame only. The tea I have used is Wagh Bakri chai. Instead of white sugar, I have used palm sugar. Always add tea leaves only after the water starts to boil. Do not add it at first itself. I have also used full-fat milk. To make variations, you can add 1/4 tsp of cardamom powder along with ginger or you can skip ginger and add cardamom powder alone too. Now let us see how to prepare this recipe.

- 1.25 cups Milk full fat
- 1.5 cups Water
- 1 inch Ginger
- 2 tsp Tea Leaves heaped
- 4 tsp Sugar
- In a saucepan, add water and bring it to a rolling boil. In the boiling water add tea leaves.
- Grate the ginger in the boiling tea water. Boil the tea leaves for 2-3 mins on low flame. Tea water turns aromatic and dark brown.
- Now add milk and boil on low flame for 2-3 mins. If you watch out carefully, milk boils, the tea color darkens and foam starts to come up. At this stage, mix well with a spoon.
- Now add the required sugar and boil for another one min or until the sugar dissolves completely.
- Then filter the tea and serve hot with any snacks or biscuits of your choice.
